There is nothing worse after a long day of competition than trying to get a consensus on where, or even what, the team should eat. In our many years of traveling with the team with different organizers, we have seen ordering done well...and not so well. Let's make it easy!
Start by reaching out to Athleats from one month to a few days before your trip to Phoenix. Fill out the contact form with your locations and what type of food you are looking for. We send you a list of restaurant options in your area. You tell us which restaurants look interesting and we will send you menus and order guides for those restaurants. For individual meals, you bring those menus and order guides to practice (or email the athletes) and have each athlete pick their items. For group meals, you order from the group guide and you are done. You send the order guides back to us with delivery dates, times, and locations. We will confirm all times and locations the day before the deliveries (we know they can sometimes change). Then you can leave the rest to us!
Coach Dan wanted food delivered to the field at noon. Just as his team was finishing up their first game, Athleats arrived with their lunch. They had lots of time to enjoy their lunch and prepare for their 1 o'clock game.
David needed help taking care of the coaches at his swim meet. He did some pre-planning with our team. During the event, he had 3 meals a day show up at the right time with set-up and organization taken care of by our team. He had one less thing to worry about - priceless!!
When you have a hotel that has a cool pool table and game room - take advantage! Jamie's team ordered pizzas from a local restaurant and spent some quality relaxation time together instead of waiting for tables in a busy restaurant. The girls had a blast!
When it was too hard to get everyone into a restaurant during Spring Training, Michelle got pizza for the families at the hotel. After a long day at the fields, everyone enjoyed getting hot food delivered poolside.
Cheryl knew that things would be tough since the teams plane didn't land until after 7:00 pm the night before competition. Athleats had dinner for the team and groceries for the next day waiting in insulated bags for her at the hotel when she arrived.
Helen took advantage of all of the rental items that Athleats had to offer: shade tents, camp chairs, coolers, and tables. All of the comforts you could need courtside or fieldside delivered right to her hotel!! She topped it off with all of the snacks her team would need from Costco!!
